This is the original black and white that was commissioned by Games Workshop
and from which I went off and made the nice colour one that won the DD.

The small Spacecraft are photographed models. Main model done in 3D Max and
the rest was photoshop.

You can see this ship in issue 44 of Inferno! magazine which is an ultramarines
special. (I designed most of the internal stuff in that isssue also, titling and stuff)

wow.

I must say, this black and white version is a much more moving piece in my opinion. It has such a stark feeling to it, more utilitarian then the colour version. It makes it look as though these ships are on their way to battle, and those men are prepairing to fight to the death if thats what it takes.
